Zaira answers questions about the work in front of her and drafts issues from
a sentence. She reads only what the person asking may already read — the context
she is given is assembled with that person's own permissions, so she cannot
summarise a ticket they could not open. You bring your own provider account, so
the model, the cost and the data-handling agreement are yours.
Choosing and connecting a provider is covered in AI providers.
On your own Redmine
Requirements
- Redmine 6.0 or newer (Rails 7.2, Ruby 3.1 or newer)
- PostgreSQL 14+, or MySQL 8.0+ / MariaDB 10.6+
- An account with one of the supported providers, and outbound network access to it
Install
cd /path/to/redmine
cp -r redminepro_ai plugins/
RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rake redmine:plugins:migrate NAME=redminepro_ai
# restart Redmine
Then configure a provider — see AI providers.
Standalone behaviour
The record of AI use is kept for as long as you choose, up to the full range, because there is no plan ceiling to apply. It is your database. An unrecognised plan name opens the same way rather than silently shortening your history.
Everything else is identical. The module is a real one and keeps its checkbox in project settings.
Update and remove
Copy the new directory over the old one, run the migrate command, restart. To remove:
RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rake redmine:plugins:migrate NAME=redminepro_ai VERSION=0
rm -rf plugins/redminepro_ai
# restart Redmine
The usage record goes. Every issue drafted with assistance stays — each was created by a person who reviewed it.
Already on RedminePRO Cloud? It is installed and maintained for you: see the configuration guide.
