What it is

A checklist on every issue, below the description: a progress bar, collapsible sections with their own counts, and items you can tick without opening the edit form. Items carry an optional assignee and due date, templates fill a checklist in one click or automatically by tracker, and every change lands in the issue history and the notification emails. Optionally, the checklist can drive the issue's percentage done or hold the issue open until everything is ticked.

On your own Redmine

Requirements

  • Redmine 6.0 or newer (Rails 7.2, Ruby 3.1 or newer)
  • PostgreSQL 14+, or MySQL 8.0+ / MariaDB 10.6+
  • No additional gems

Install

cd /path/to/redmine
cp -r redminepro_checklists plugins/
RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rake redmine:plugins:migrate NAME=redminepro_checklists
# restart Redmine

Standalone behaviour

Identical. No plan gate applies, nothing is capped by tier, and the module is a real one that keeps its checkbox in project settings whether or not anything else is installed.

Update and remove

Copy the new directory over the old one, run the migrate command, restart. To remove:

RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rake redmine:plugins:migrate NAME=redminepro_checklists VERSION=0
rm -rf plugins/redminepro_checklists
# restart Redmine

That drops the checklist data — the issues, their history and everything else are untouched.
