What it is

An editable schedule where the built-in Gantt is a picture. Drag a bar to move it, drag its edge to resize, draw a dependency between two issues, and see the Critical path through the plan. Baselines record what you promised so Drift can show what actually happened. There is a per-project chart on the Gantt tab and a Gantt — all projects view across everything you can see.

Every change is an ordinary issue edit underneath — the same rules, the same history entry, the same notifications — so a drag can never be a way to move a date without leaving a trail.

On your own Redmine

Requirements

  • Redmine 6.0 or newer (Rails 7.2, Ruby 3.1 or newer)
  • PostgreSQL 14+, or MySQL 8.0+ / MariaDB 10.6+
  • No additional gems

Install

cd /path/to/redmine
cp -r redminepro_gantt plugins/
RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rake redmine:plugins:migrate NAME=redminepro_gantt
# restart Redmine

Standalone behaviour

Identical. No plan gate applies and nothing is capped by tier.

Update and remove

Copy the new directory over the old one, run the migrate command, restart. To remove:

RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rake redmine:plugins:migrate NAME=redminepro_gantt VERSION=0
rm -rf plugins/redminepro_gantt
# restart Redmine

The built-in Gantt tab comes back exactly as it was. Saved baselines go; every issue date stays, because those were never this feature's to own.

Already on RedminePRO Cloud? It is installed and maintained for you: see the configuration guide.
