Nothing about your contract changed automatically, but a rebrand is the natural moment to check what you are about to re-commit to for another twelve months.

The short version: this is a name change and a positioning change, not a product replacement. Your instance is the same instance. The important word in the table above is “unchanged” in the pricing row — if you were on per-user pricing before the rebrand, you are on per-user pricing after it.
What a rebrand does tell you is where a company is going. Dropping “Redmine” from the name is a deliberate signal that the product is being positioned as a work-management platform in its own right rather than as a Redmine distribution. That is a legitimate strategy and it may well suit you. It is worth knowing about, because it has a bearing on how closely the product tracks upstream Redmine from here, and on how much of the open-source Redmine plugin ecosystem stays relevant to you.
Easy8's cloud plans bill annually, so a renewal is a twelve-month commitment made in one decision. Here is what that decision costs at the published rates, as an annual total rather than a monthly one — because the annual total is the number on the invoice.

Three questions worth asking before you sign the next twelve months:
How many seats will you have in month eleven? On per-user pricing that is the number you are really committing to, not the number you have today. On a flat plan it does not matter.
Which tier are you actually on, and why? The gap between Essentials and Platform is nearly four times the rate. If you moved up a tier for one feature, check whether you still use it.
Who is not on the system because of the seat cost? This is the quiet one. Per-user pricing gives everybody a reason to leave the support lead, the finance analyst and the contractor off the license, and a tracker that half the company cannot see is doing half its job. There are four, and two of them are not leaving.
Renew as you are. If the product fits, the rebrand changes nothing operationally and this is the low-effort answer. Rebrands are not a reason to move on their own.
Renew, but re-tier. Audit which modules you actually use before you re-sign. Tier drift is real and it is expensive on per-user pricing.
Renew, and negotiate. A rebrand year is a reasonable moment to ask about multi-year terms or seat-band pricing. You have more leverage at renewal than at any other point in the contract.
Move to standard Redmine, managed. If what you actually wanted was Redmine — the tracker your team already knows, with the open-source plugin ecosystem intact and a backup you can restore anywhere — then a host running standard Redmine is the thing to buy. You need the product in a language we don't cover. Easy8 publishes in 13 languages with a large documentation library, plus case studies, ebooks and webinars. If your team works in Czech, Polish, Spanish or German and expects native-language documentation and support, that is a serious operational advantage and we do not match it.
You bought the suite, not the tracker. Easy8 is a heavyweight work-management platform — resource management, finance, CRM, B2B modules, an increasingly AI-oriented roadmap — sold with implementation partners in dozens of countries. If you are running the company on it rather than tracking issues in it, replacing it is a much larger project than a data migration and probably not worth starting.
Per-user licensing suits your procurement. Some finance functions genuinely prefer per-seat licensing because it maps cleanly onto headcount budgeting and internal chargeback. If that is yours, per-user is a feature rather than a cost.

You wanted Redmine. RedminePRO runs standard open-source Redmine. Not a fork, not a suite built on a Redmine base. Your data sits in a schema thousands of installations share, the whole open-source plugin ecosystem is available to you, and you can take a backup and restore it onto a stock Redmine install anywhere. A suite is a deliberate product decision with real benefits, but it means your data lives in the vendor's schema and your workflows depend on their modules.
You don't want to do seat math. At 25 people you are comparing $240/year against €2,070/year at the Essentials rate. At 100 you are comparing $490/year against €8,280/year. And your 26th hire costs nothing on the Plus plan.
You want to pay monthly. Easy8's cloud pricing is annual. RedminePRO bills monthly at $24/mo, with annual available at ten months' cost if you prefer one invoice.
You want your own plugins. Full Redmine administrator access on every plan, including Startup, so what runs on your instance is your decision rather than a vendor-curated module list.

One thing to understand before you start: Easy8 is a suite built on a Redmine base, so the standard entities — projects, issues, users, journals, attachments, custom fields — map across cleanly, and the suite-specific modules do not. Anything living in an Easy8-only module needs either a Redmine plugin equivalent or a decision to drop it.
