Note on storage: their pricing page states 10 GB in the Advanced plan's bullet list and 25 GB in the comparison table on the same page. We've cited the table figure where we cite one at all, and we're flagging the ambiguity rather than picking a number. Ask them directly.
You want a host that tracks Redmine releases closely. Redmine-X does something almost nobody else in this market bothers with: they publish timely coverage of new Redmine releases, including the 6.x line, and their site is visibly maintained — nearly every page carries a current last-modified date. If you care about being on a current Redmine version and want a vendor who is publicly paying attention to upstream, that is a genuine signal and it's earned.
You want free plugins from your host. Redmine-X publishes free plugins as part of how they attract customers, which is a real thing you get.
You're a European buyer who wants a European vendor and annual invoicing. Some finance departments prefer one annual invoice to twelve monthly ones, and some procurement processes are simply easier with a EUR-denominated European supplier. If that's yours, the annual-only model is a feature.
They're a small, focused operation. Redmine-X runs a compact product with a clear scope. Some buyers prefer that to a larger vendor with a broader roadmap, and it's a defensible preference.
You don't want to pay a year up front. Redmine-X is annual only. RedminePRO is $29/mo billed monthly, with annual available at ten months' cost if you want it. For a team that isn't certain yet, the ability to leave after month two is worth something.
You want to try it first. RedminePRO has a 7-day trial. Redmine-X's model asks for an annual payment to get started.
You need unlimited projects. Every RedminePRO plan has them, from Startup.
The numbers. $290/year against €849/year at 25 users; $790/year against €3,399/year at 100. Same seat count, different order of magnitude.
You want a choice of data region. RedminePRO runs on AWS with US, EU and India regions, chosen at signup, and your data stays in the region you pick.
The plan each vendor requires at that team size — their published prices, not ours.
